The European Commission has launched the smart specialization platform on energy ( S3P – ENERGY )on May 26, 2015 .
The Platform aims to contribute directly to the EU strategy for energy , supporting the regions and Member States in the most effective use of funds of the cohesion policy to sustainable energy .
The Platform will help regions to share their expertise on investments in sustainable energy and, in particular , innovative low carbon emission technologies
The Platform will prepare thematic papers and carry out active outreach activities, to build and disseminate knowledge to MS, regions and other interested stakeholders on the possibilities for investing in energy projects from the Cohesion Policy funds. It will also support the identification of common challenges and the establishing of solutions (including by sharing good practice).
